PhysiciansThe ADVANCED Exam The ADVANCED Exam focuses on clinical aspects of anesthetic practice and emphasizes subspecialty-based practice and advanced clinical issues. Physicians can take this after graduating from residency.
The APPLIED Exam The APPLIED Exam consists of two parts: the Standard Oral Examination (SOE) and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
Subspecialty Exams Subspecialty Exams allow ACGME-accredited fellows to demonstrate their expertise in a subspecialty such as critical care medicine, palliative care or pediatric anesthesiology.
You have seven years from the last day of the year in which you graduated to satisfy all certification requirements. If you don’t, you’ll need to reestablish eligibility for our exam system.
